UW schedule is better. That doesn't seem debatable.

I think Oregon does have better player talent. Recruiting R Us.

We play at ASU not Arizona.

Okay. Now tell us its Samford not Stanford and we'll be making real progress on that schedule nut punch.

It really is feast or famine with the schedule, UW & Stanford at home one year, on the road the next. It didn't matter for 12 years in a row a while back; just think how much fun it would be to make it 2 in a row over the Mutts with a win in Seattle and a game at Autzen the next year?

In theory, yes, but a few things.

1. You never REALLY know the schedule. Games that look tough often are easy and vice versa, based on injuries and surprises. This isn't MLB where you can basically determine the division winners before the season every year. Yes, Auburn, @UW, @Furd is going to be tough, based on them all having good coaches, but I think we actually beat Stanford fairly easily this season.

2. We have to show we're better on offense and Herbert can't regress more. UW lost more key dudes, but they might be a better offensive team this year, and their defense has been plug and play under CP.

3. Huck the Fuskies, beat them in Seattle and it doesn't matter.

It is a question. with Ross & Pettis to throw to, Browning was an All Pac-12 QB, with out them, mediocre, This season, the Huskies will have 2 senior WR's for Eason to throw to, neither have been playmakers like Ross or Pettis were, also Myles Gaskin is finally gone, with a conference record that will probably never be broken...4 years of 1000 yds rushing.

Royce was 55 yards in his JR year from matching setting that feat first and Gaskin won't be the last. CJV ran for 1018 last year as a FR.

Actually there are at least two mistakes here. Not only are the Ducks at ASU rather than Arizona (whom they host), but UW is AT Stanford (https://gohuskies.com/schedule.aspx?path=football) on Oct. 5. So UW's schedule isn't quite as soft as was indicated.

Dale Newton is not a great reporter.

I'm just wondering how many RB's that good are going to play 4 years. I haven't checked the team stats, maybe there's an Sr. RB now with 3 straight 1000's...

Nope, not particularly here with the mistakes, but the dialogue for the season is "Oregon has a lot of talent, but the schedule is a killer".

Easy schedules really help, but if you’re not beating tough teams on the road then you’re not a good team. The best Oregon teams didn’t care if they spent Friday night in their bed.

This^^^. The best indicator of a team being great is how they deal with road games; the best teams in any sport embrace being on the road, imposing their will on the other team, silencing the crowd.

You never really know how difficult a schedule really is until the season's almost over. Teams disappoint, key players get hurt, I try not to focus on it too much.
