The backups came in and kept actually playing. Shough throwing the ball, going for it in fourth down....it was refreshing

Been watching Ducks games for 20 years

I loved it. It will help build confidence, team unity, meaningful experience, and true depth.

Things Helfrich and Slick Willie never could grasp. Even Chip to a certain extent. Hopefully Mario has learned a valuable lesson. The whole team was celebrating and making plays until the final horn. Instead of sulking because they didn't get to do anything (the backups) but vanilla bs. Great win all the way around. Shough was nervous as hell when he first came in (who wouldn't be?) but made some damn nice throws.

Agreed, I was more impressed with the defense though despite how great the offense looked. Thibodeaux, Funa, and Johnson are gonna wreck Pac-12 offenses in the future.

Good point. We never really let up the gas, especially on defense, which was really neat to see. Also just had vibes of our glory years.

And what's crazy is Herbert missed like 3 or 4 throws at the beginning and it took us a while to get going, but when it rained, it poured.
