Cliff Harris

Post by northbeachsf »

He is going to be big time. Even the deep ball he got beat on, he played the ball the entire way. It is not often you see a freshman get his head around and make plays on the ball.

The only thing that can hold Harris back is his performance in the classroom. I hope he keeps his nose in the books.

He looked great. As mentioned, that long pass made on him was played about as well as possible. The receiver just made an exceptional play.

It seems like CBs usually take longer to develop than some other positions. Except for being a little slight, he looks like he's been playing for a couple seasons already.

And he will continue to improve through this season. He will get to face better team that will pass more, USC, Stanford, Arizona and Beavers. Great chance for him to get better and grow into elite CB.

I think arizona will be the biggest test for him.

USC is playing with a fairly experienced set of receivers, but they like to pound the ball (I would too with so many good RBs...)

The arizona air raid is going to be a true test with all those different patterns and 50+ throws coming at him.

I was just wondering why he was wearing the back protector thing? Isn't that for offensive players? Is he planning on returning kicks soon?

Yeah and the commentators kept saying it was pass interference. No way he played it about as good as you can it was just a perfectly placed ball where the receiver had position.

Cliff was great today, and yep the commentators where calling for the PI, but what they totally missed was the huge hold that allowed Locker time to throw .
