I think it’s most likely a high level of incompetence, there’s no way this officiating crew should call another game though.wepto wrote:I really feel like this game should be looked by the US attorney / DOJ. The phantom false start and the DPI call when it was blatant OPI. I am over reacting right? I hate gambling so much.

I disagree, too high of a risk there especially when they need a TD. Pin them deep and trust your defense. It isn’t worth making it easy for their already dominating offense. Besides, take away a BS PI and it’s 3rd and 10 and maybe he looks smart!Tray Dub wrote:We won (hooray!) so it's going to get buried, but deciding to punt and then wasting those last ten seconds instead of trying to go for the endzone were both such bad decisions. Doesn't matter it worked out to me, I lost a lot of faith in Cristobal's in-game decision-making. Still think he's a good head coach, but man were those some bad calls.

Verdell finishes with 257 rushing yards on 23 carries, 313 total yards, and 3 TDs. Those rushing yards leave him tied for fourth all-time at Oregon for rushing yards in a single game. What a night for him.
And one more shoutout for Juwan. Made some big grabs and had a couple monster grabs. Breakout game for him.
The way these last two weeks have gone, we are lucky as hell to finish the Washington schools 2-0. But we found a way to win. That's what counts.

They would've been on the 35 instead of the 10, it's not that much field position. And we saw how bad they were gashing our defense, which they predictably did again with ease, field position be damned. Obviously it worked out so I'll shut up about it, but I think it was a bad call that very nearly cost us the game.OregonFan4Life wrote:I disagree, too high of a risk there especially when they need a TD. S/O to MC for having the guts to trust a freshman kicker. I know i wouldn't have.

No TO's for the Ducks, still no INTs for Herbert, but his TD streak is gone. But a drive in the last minute, priceless.

Juwan Johnson could be huge down the stretch. One of the reasons I wasn't too bothered about Schooler leaving.

I'm sure he's okay with losing that streak as long as they got the win.Merganzer wrote:No TO's for the Ducks, still no INTs for Herbert, but his TD streak is gone. But a drive in the last minute, priceless.
