Yep. Once the CFP poll comes out Tuesday and every week thereafter until early December, the AP and Coaches' polls mean nothing.Tray Dub wrote:We come in just barely behind Georgia, 1196 to 1180. Doesn't really matter anyways.
This season it looks like all the Pac-12 teams have 2 Byes. Interestingly, USC's second one is after their last game on Nov. 23. Other teams do play on the 30th, so it is a bye. It would give the Trojans a week off before the conference championship game, were they to win the South.brich75 wrote:Do we normally have 2 byes a year? I swear we already had a bye this yeat
There’s an extra week this season based on how the calendar laid out. Everyone gets two bye weeks. It’s great for the broadcasters who are monetizing an extra week of games.Merganzer wrote:This season it looks like all the Pac-12 teams have 2 Byes. We’ve never beaten bye. Facing them twice in a season is daunting.buckmarkduck wrote:Bye is a tougher game than the cupcakes the SeC schedules late in the year.
I've heard BYE is the only multi-decade undefeated program in NCAA history.ncduck wrote:We’ve never beaten bye. Facing them twice in a season is daunting.buckmarkduck wrote:Bye is a tougher game than the cupcakes the SeC schedules late in the year.
This team hasn't been there before though. Let them have funGoDucksIn09 wrote:The ducks worked on running the ball more effectively and it seemed to work more after the bye. What does Oregon work on this week. Maybe the penalties.. or keeping their cool. Celebrating off the field and not on it. Act like been there before and not a big deal.
It helps when every single team in the SEC is ranked so every time they lose they can just say, "Hey, we lost to a ranked team". It assures the SEC is ALWAYS in the top 10GoDucksIn09 wrote:Georgia was barely behind us and they just beat a Top 10 team. I am not surprised they jumped us.
