Plus Ford is out for 16 more days still so yeah. He’s expiring. If he doesn’t re-sign for some reason the Pacers are screwed.

Yes it's all dependent upon him resigning, but in the history of DASL I feel like the odds are in my favor. PG's are seldom in the league and Ford is 26. If he resigns then I'm sending the Mav's at worst, mid first round picks.
