1988-89 DASL End-of-Season Statistics

Post by The Bean Regime »

As I’m sure everyone expected, here is the second (technically third) edition of the End-of-Season Statistics article!

Some things to consider:
The time-based awards (monthly, weekly) are heavily influenced by games played
The best-worst games are decided at my discretion.
The best-worst games do not consider games where the player is in foul trouble. Sure, a Moses Malone game where he plays 15 minutes is probably the worst but that’s no fun. I want bricks and turnovers dammit!
I kept the weekly awards condensed as I figured no one is really interested unless your player won the award. So it’s a nice balance between giving the stats and saving me time.
Any positions listed are determined by box score (and thus played-at) positions, not the positions listed on the team roster page.

New additions:
I added some tracking stats to the time-based awards for fun. Most of them won’t be very relevant until a few seasons out but it doesn’t hurt to start including them now. As I can't go back in time, they are starting from 1988 onwards (sorry Malone!)
A rookie-only section was added to the miscellaneous stats section to get a look at the class more in depth.
Players’ full names are now included in the miscellaneous stats like I mentioned last season.
