Look who leads the country in ints..

Yikes. I think Jacory will still be a good QB, but I'm definitely not bummed about losing out on him. Masoli, Costa, and DT will rep the "O".
oh and he has -203 yards on 35 carries. So much for dual threat.

And while we are at it, I think Ryan Mallett is going to have a huge year next season. (This season: 3k yards + 10 yards an attempt + 24td/4int).

That'll be hard to do holding a clipboard in the NFL.UOducksTK1 wrote:And while we are at it, I think Ryan Mallett is going to have a huge year next season. (This season: 3k yards + 10 yards an attempt + 24td/4int).
DEFINITELY think he's going to be an NFL stud soon though.

Remember after Miami's first game against FSU all the people on here wishing we had Jacory? LOL.

INTs alone are not a good barometer for how good a QB is. He is also around 14-15th in the nation in both TDs and total yards. Give him a year or two and he could end up a top 5 QB, imo.
Favre threw a lot of interceptions and is considered a historically good QB by most.

His passer rating is significantly higher than Masoli's though.

But Masoli is 10x the runner, and he runs this offense excellent. Never would I trade him for Jacory.uo2010 wrote:UOducksTK1 wrote:http://espn.go.com/college-football/sta ... erceptions

Like I said, Jacory is good and will be a very solid QB after he's done, but I'm not sad that we missed out on him.

He is very young and a prototypical gunslinger; a combination that breeds interceptions.

It is the same argument that can be made for Pryor. Miami's offense doesn't suit Harris's ability the same as Oregon's does. I am completely happy with Masoli but Pryor and Harris would probably thrive in Oregon's offense the same way Masoli does.

1) I didnt say that I would trade Harris for Masoli. 2) The stats you are looking at do not tell the whole picture, as Harris as a significantly higher passer rating (which according to most is the most important QB stat). 3) I hope you understand that his negative rushing yards are because of sacks. He is not asked to be a duel threat, as far as it concerns rushing down field. In our system his rushing numbers would be better.UOducksTK1 wrote:But Masoli is 10x the runner, and he runs this offense excellent. Re: Look who leads the country in ints..
Jacory Harris and Darron Thomas were high school quarterbacks in the same recruiting class, so rather than asking who you would rather have between Harris and Masoli, the real question is who you would rather have between Harris and Thomas. Obviously you can't tell at this point if Jacory or Darron will ultimately prove to be the better college QB, but the way Darron is built certainly gives him a better chance of surviving in the Oregon offense. Jacory looks more like a Kenyan distance runner than a football player. Darron is stronger and more physical than most people realize.
