I'd say the rule is... never take amazing raw unless they have at least 2 categories above C+, the hit rate otherwise is ROUGH.offtheheezy wrote:Normally someone with TMac's ratings aren't labeled "Amazing raw"... he's actually one of the first ones I've seen with good initial ratings and that tag. Normally they're all C's with amazing raw and then they're out of the league after their rookie dealpistolpetejr wrote:So you’re saying you wouldn’t have taken TMac at 3?;)offtheheezy wrote:My must-avoid-5% success rate death tagslukeyrid13 wrote:His notes read as "super raw but has really high jumping"pistolpetejr wrote:I was surprised Daniels lasted as long as he did tbh
Which pretty much encapsulates Antonio Daniels' real life career lol

Re: 1997 Draft Discussion
so what's the rule on these guys with crap ratings but have amazing instead of amazing raw?
Curious to see how they develop.

Re: 1997 Draft Discussion
Marko looks like he has steal potential
Edit- to elaborate he looks like one of those guys who is volume dependent. If he'll take 3s, his ratings and notes indicate a guy who'll put up really good points totals, and not kill you on defense, the boards or TOs. If he pulls a Randy Brown/Eddie Jones, he's a bench guy who won't hurt you but just doesn't shoot despite good percentages.

Re: 1997 Draft Discussion
Honestly had a tough choice in deciding Mo Taylor and Digbeau. Mo because of his potential and chance at SF. But Digbeau offense, I couldn’t pass. Had Battie 1 Mo 2 Croshere 3 and 4 Digbeau on final list.
But Knight was my guy after Daniels

So do we get a reveal on who these were post draft?jibbajabba614 wrote:Had Pollard and Dejan in top ten…
Only outside from top ten
Again top fifteen draft. Still a few steals out there.
I liked Daniels and Derek Anderson picks.

Re: 1997 Draft Discussion
Honestly I graded a tough class. Ownage upped a lot of guys. Digbeau had similar SJax ratings. Heck I had Dejan as 3 C+ A potential.. pollard got jumped D potential to C potential.. both those two got upped too, Daniels and Anderson..offtheheezy wrote:So do we get a reveal on who these were post draft?jibbajabba614 wrote:Had Pollard and Dejan in top ten…

Knight was a 11/7 type of guy reason I went with him. Even Vitaly had simmed 20ppg last year but there wasn’t any Shawntelle Scott, Priest and Sharone type of guys. Way they simmed. Again more of mid level guys. But ended up deep again
