Re: 1998 Draft Discussion
Honestly I started file by scratch. I got all the player profiles done. Will start ratings soon. But by spreadsheet, more ready bigs and guards with potential….
Pretty much how I like it cause some of the guards never pan out and we’ve been big heavy for a while now

Re: 1998 Draft Discussion
After simming I’d have to say Charles Jones, Brad Miller and Rashard Lewis simmed best as far as sleepers. Again notes will help out a lot. More of a top 6 draft. One probably top prospect

Simming best to me means they’re putting up good numbers, but doesn’t necessarily mean their potential is great and will develop them long term. Maybe I’m wrong in that interpretation though?

I'm expecting to see RL with Amazing Raw, BM with Average, and CS with Good scouting. BM might be another one of those guys that start out as high as they ever get.UOducksTK1 wrote:Craig wrote:Guess they're not sleepers anymore lmao

Re: 1998 Draft Discussion
Really unless it’s a top five player, I don’t pay much attention to the other guys depth charts, position changes, I just sim and write notes about their career avgs, ratings and awards…UOducksTK1 wrote:Craig wrote:Guess they're not sleepers anymore lmao

So it could be they just got more minutes over another guy.
But I try to watch the top players to see how they do over time. But I rarely adjust their ratings. I’ll leave Ownage a note to change something. Like I said final ratings are his decision.
I like Digbeu for instance because I think his ratings were like C+ B C C C C type and went to B B scoring. So things like that do catch my eyes.
And guys who sim good don’t necessarily mean they will have a great first TC.
If I had to pick a top five based on sim;
1. Dirk
2. Rashard Lewis
3. Mike Bibby
4. VC
5. Paul Pierce
Based on final rankings;
1. Dirk/VC/PP
4. Jamison
5. Rashard Lewis/Mike Bibby
Again after first TC, we get a better idea on the type of prospect they will become.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but even after you sim, Ownage can / will still tweak some players. Correct?

In 30 days, it’s tough to get entire file done by scratch. I started file right away 97 draft file. I have a bunch of draft files saved from 03 or 04 from then on.. but right now without fbbgames.org its rough
