1998 draft preview

Post by jibbajabba614 »

Been working on draft and saw pistols post so decided to give a preview of next years draft.

1998 draft preview

Dirk Nowitzki
One A, Four B’s and One C
Dirk will probably be the top ranked player. His scoring plus defensive and rebounding abilities will lock him as a top pick. Will he be the number one prospect, that is uncertain. Could see VC or Paul Pierce sneaking in due to their potential. But Dirk will come out with the best ratings/potential prospect.

Vince Carter
One A, Two B’s, Two C and One D
Elite athleticism. Of course will have All Star potential. Will he develop to be a game changer in offenses. After SG’s coming with three point shooting, Carter is more of an inside threat. Will be interesting how he pans out.

Paul Pierce
One A, Two B’s, Two C and One D
More of an outside shooter. Good handles and passer. May benefit from a role like Grant Hill. But could definitely step in and be a scorer when you need him like GRob. Overall, teams looking for an outside focus player, Pierce is one of them. But except for the ready now wings, they take time.

Antawn Jamison
One A, One B and Four C’s
Potential to be a Gatling or Lane type of player. Shooting guard abilities and power forward strengths, Jamison could be a dangerous player in DASL. Will be a more inside scorer with great potential type of player.

Michael Olowokandi
Three B’s and Two D’s
Will be more of a ready now player but three B’s and two D’s bigs have been good players to draft. Will probably be more of a rebounding scoring big.

maybe loosing so much isn't bad. I mean VC staying in Central Florida only makes sense.

With 3 picks I think I'll happily accept 2 of: VC, Dirk or Pierce. Can I cash in my nefarious points to make sure I hit lotto luck?!

I'll let everyone else share the other guy even.

Why would cashing in nefarious points get you more benefits?

I'd be happy with any of those three too.

Maybe we should change the league from DASL to NGSL (Nefarious Gms Sim League)

I'd be happiest with Dirk considering the current players on my roster (Duncan-KG-Dirk *drool drool*) but yeah either of those three would be great lol.

Dirk a little overrated historically.

Pierce should be a bit better than VC

Exactly. If I can be nefarious, I might as well get myself the top 2 picks in the draft

Honestly if Dirk is restricted to post; Teams will be looking to other two prospects. More of a top 3 draft…

Also this is just giving GM’s a way draft files are made. Final simming hasn’t been done nor final rankings. More just an estimate on how guys are scored..

Yeah I hope he is SF eligible. He played there a bit earlier in his career

By that logic, LeBron’s gonna break the game.

If I get Dirk, then fine.
