Matrix as well.

Both look super mediocre.
To be fair I had Baron as B- B- B- B- C B

And then people complained about rating inflation.

Damned if you do damned if you don’t
I don't think rating inflation is going to be fixed in the drafts. It can't be, and it would negatively effect everyone with picks moving forward.

A solution for inflation is beyond drafts. So you do you.
I agree.

I know I complained my heart out, but this is probably the best draft to have a #6 pick vs a #1/#2 pick in a while. Crapshoot from 1-9 imo.

Frankly, I might have taken Manu at #2. That elite potential makes me think it's 100. Which sounds juicy.

Spoken like someone planning to pick at the top of the draft for a while

Why would starting at the draft files not be helpful?

I give all the information available to all GM’s with notes. I always tell people if they have a question, you can always ask. My door is always open.

I tried to retool last off season. Couldn’t get the point guard I wanted.

But yeah we I saw Baron, Terry, Andre and Francis in the 99 draft. I figured I could get my point guard.

Last point guard I had was Mookie which I drafted. I also passed on Kevin Johnson for Gilliam I think. I also drafted Rodman, a bust. And traded Charles Smith for Pippen. And look at Smith.

So just because I do the files, it doesn’t mean I know everything. If so I would of drafted Oscar, Lane, Charles Smith and Kevin Johnson

it would be helpful to inflation overall but does the thing we want to prevent... that is to create a competitive advantage for competing teams (who reap benefit of regularly-rated draftees) over rebuilding teams (at disadvantage because of worse draftees).

Because the RL drafts are starting to get worse, it was a good time to build more difficult drafts I think.

After 2003, we are all screwed

If you adjust draft files, you won't see even a slight impact for at least 4-5 seasons where there's a solid 20% of newly adjusted player ratings in the league. Probably a solid 8 seasons or so before it makes a big difference.

Additionally, it'll have a negative effect on drafting and trading. No one will want to trade for picks, which will significantly hurt draft picks. Additionally, it gives unfair advantage to teams with good players currently and no future picks. That would be a bigger problem than the inflation problem we have.

I had Wally #2 on my list. I’d be a hypocrite to not get him for a mid teen pick
