I really like Manu, but Zo is a dominant post defender that I couldn’t pass up

Re: Blazers - Spurs
Seems relatively cheap but I guess Spurs wanted to take the shot with the high upside Manu. Manu’s notes and ratings also disrespectful if it was RL Manu would be great . But here he’s the three C+’s of doom

If Manu pans out to be a star, then great for Spurs. Otherwise, good value for Portland.

Re: Blazers - Spurs
That’s a solid package but none of those guys look like they’ll be stars where at least Manu is being advertised as elite talent. So can’t blame spurs for rolling the dice. Your offer is safer. This one is high risk/high reward.JB wrote:Damn I was offering 4 firsts, SJax, Hughes, and Clark for him.

I like it for both. Spurs needed a rebuild. Blazers with two guys as top 3 options.
Manu’s value is a easy 3-4 firsts… depending on picks

Yeah but with that it’s your a clear contender. Blazers still not. But yeah I’m sure lukey won’t be giving up a top 5 pick in 01JB wrote:Damn I was offering 4 firsts, SJax, Hughes, and Clark for him.

I’d rather have Manu than a 4-5 picks in the 20s

But his value is 2-3 firsts. I mean it's ok i guess if you KNOW Manu is going to be elite but like... before even 1 TC? Gotta take some extra tax on that gamble i think. Dude could easily be Detlef and done by 25

Agreed.
One of the more exciting deals I got. There were a couple of safe bets like the Kings deal, but I decided to treat this deal like my broker account...a little risky
If Manu pans out and becomes elite, great. Although, after catching up on the draft thread, probably not the best time taking a massive risk since jibba decided to deflate the draft given the complaints about rating inflation in the league. Slava is also an interesting prospect, curious to see how he pans.

Spurs agree via Pm to do salary filler in lieu of cap and agree to trade post FA
