Nuggets / Grizzlies
Nuggets send
Joe Johnson
Darius Miles
03/04 Nuggets 2nd round draft pick
Grizzlies send
Dirk Nowitzki
Chris Carrawell
Accept. This gives me a solid corner piece to build around and he’ll age well with the rest of my core

Accept. Completes my full tear down and gives me a good start with #2 pick from this year in Joe Johnson.

I don’t think it’s an overpay, he’s a good rebounder, good defender, and good offensive player. And he won’t be second to anyone else on my squad so he’ll likely be betterpistolpetejr wrote:Nuggets overpaid, but I get it. He’s got a lot of wings.

Re: Nuggets / Grizzlies
Dirk is just hard to build around because hes not a rim protector and cant play the 3. Not impossible, especially if he gets to like A- B+ scoring or something crazy, but its a lot tougher.Foxyg1396 wrote:I don’t think it’s an overpay, he’s a good rebounder, good defender, and good offensive player. I dont think its a bad deal, thats just the challenge with Dirk is all.

Re: Nuggets / Grizzlies
I think Dirk still has highest potential of anyone in the deal
I'm not big on Darius Miles personally so it's Joe Johnson + a little for Dirk and I think makes sense for the Nuggets since he still has solid guys with Richardson and Maggette too.

Solid in terms of potential growth. Definitely will take a bit but Dirk is a good startlukeyrid13 wrote:I think Dirk still has highest potential of anyone in the deal

If Dirk could play SF this deal would be the '03/'04 Nuggets 1sts instead of 2ndsCraig wrote:Dirk is just hard to build around because hes not a rim protector and cant play the 3.
