'01 Trade Deadline Day Discussion Thread
Any big moves to be had? Or will it be a quiet trade deadline?

It’s been quiet for most of the season because most teams are tanking; don’t expect much, but if anyone’s moving a good defensive big or a good PG, I’m very interested.

Tough market, I have one deal that might happen.
Problem has been the teams near the playoff fringe are all trying to tank, and the teams well in the playoffs are right up on the hardcap with mostly just stars and guys making no money, so they can't match salary.

I'd be surprised to see any notable deals happen since like Hornets said, can't really match. Clippers always want to trade ofc so maybe he'll pump something out.
I have talked about Smith but a deal seems unlikely and nothing with Booker. I expect I'll try to trade out of the Sonics 1st this draft, but that's not really a trade deadline piece.

I had a small move and a big move lined up waiting to see where I was closer to the deadline. With Antoine Walker broken skull, think I’ll just stand pat unless a great offer surfaces in the next day or so. I have never moved up in the lottery. I have also never traded a pick that ended up in the lottery. This is the year it jumps right?
