Georgia guard Kario Oquendo transfers to Oregon
His slashing ability should create more opportunities for the Ducks. It sounds like coaches (and himself) are convinced that he's a better shooter than his numbers show. In other words, he was forced to take more shots than he should have because Georgia was one of the bottom teams in the league both seasons.

Pretty right handed. Drives and finishes well. Seems to be able to shoot the trey. Decent hops. Welcome to the flock.

Regarding his career 27% 3point shooting at Georgia.
In Junior College, he did score 13.5ppg on 55.4% FG and 40.3% 3PT shooting. So I do believe his shot is probably better than 27%. Our team shot 31% last year so even if he could shoot 34%, that should pair well with his driving ability.

Sounds like he's been on Oregon's radar for a while. Good to hear he's working on his 3-point shot to get it more consistent.

Looks like Stubblefield was the talent evaluator.
Next year’s team will have the same problem the last couple have. You don’t win with these selfish transfers hoisting up shot after shot at 27%.
Couldn’t be more sick of the Guerrier, Harmon, Young, Barthelemy level transfer dreck Altman has fallen in love with.
