UW-ASU

Post by Tray Dub »

Boy oh boy... boy oh boy.

By the way, I don't give a s*** about how this affects playoff chances blah blah blah, watching bad things happen to Washington is always a delight. This thread is only for people who agree.

Wondering if we damaged Penix last week? Not sharp.

ASU defense must be showing the blueprint, but their offense keeps missing out on big opportunities. I’m sure Huskies will find a way to win.

I'll say this, I really don't think Penix is a first round NFL quarterback. He's competent and will be in the NFL but his receivers make him look a lot better than he is.

Love ASU’s constant pressure on Penix. Selling out.

The Huskies going more or less undefeated at 4th down for two straight weeks is killing me

Some bad missed calls really going the way of highly ranked teams today. Outcome of this game and the Texas/Houston game getting altered by non-calls.

I really think Oregon is better than the Huskies by multiple scores but the coaches outsmarted themselves. Hythloday legit gave the blueprint for slowing down Penix and for most of the game the coaches didn’t follow his blueprint and blitzed Penix which rarely works. If you look back at Penix’s best throws it’s to single coverage, he’s not a thread the needle guy. When guys are covered he is very inaccurate and gets antsy. Lanning and Tosh left their CB’s on an island in the first half and Penix tore them apart. If Ducks and Huskies meet in Vegas I’m sure DaBoer will be worried, if ducks just follow the blueprint that has worked and don’t outsmart themselves ducks win by multiple scores.

This game makes me think uw may leave Corvallis with an L. Beavers have a better pass defense than ASU, won't mind just running the ball every down while stretching you with Bolden and Gould, and the game isn't in the friendly confines of a home stadium. Only way I see washington winning is if the beavers fail to generate a pass rush, so we'll see.

I think Oregon showed the blueprint. Penix really struggled under pressure. I don't know why Oregon didn't pressure more
