A good game on both ends of the court. Coach was pleased. Handled this opponent far better than OSU did 2 days earlier.

The loss of Peyton Scott leaves a big hole in the starting lineup. K Williams is not at the same level as the other 4 starters. As the best bench players are 3s and 4s, Gray will likely spend more minutes at the point this year. Chance is an ok ball handler but has a tremendous ceiling as a 2 and playing off the ball.

It's only 2 games in but, were Scott available I would say this team is better than last years team even with the loss of the 2 stud guards. Sophmore Gray, Sonia Bell and Payton Scott would score less than Freshman Gray, Rogers and Pao Pao but would be be better defenders and the extra shots that Rogers would have taken will this year go to the higher efficiency Sloot and Phili.

The bench is better this year even with P Williams not yet cleared. Freshman Rambus and Wagner, 2nd year Basham (and eventually P Williams and Hammel) bring more to the table than last years bench which was largely streaky 3 point shooting and nothing else.

Both Grace and Phili show signs of the growth you would expect in their 2nd years as starters.

Unfortunately, the PAC is loaded. The conference's projected 5th team Colorado kicked #1 LSU's ass all over the court last night. Oregon will play 13 games against Top 25 quality teams this year before the tournament.
