Burch should. He has all the talent, but right now will be a 4-5 round pick.

Not only is Jacobs eligible to return next season, but he could apply for a medical redshirt and be eligible for 2 more seasons, if he wants.

Jacobs is listed as a junior on goducks.com. He redshirted in 2019, then confusingly they have him as a redshirt freshman in both 2020 and 2021 – I'm thinking that must be the covid eligibility waiver. That'd leave him as a redshirt senior next season if he wants to come back.

That’s not obvious at all. Nobody knows what Thompson is capable of with extended time with the first team.

I could see the portal targets as:

QB - Need a guy who can make some timely plays and doesn't turn the ball over, OR your QB of the future. Coaches should know what they have with Thompson by this point, so if they go with him, it speaks to his development.
OL - No starters needed, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them add depth.
DL - I could only see an impact DT/NT being added here.
LB - Similar to OL, depth is the key need
CB - The Ducks aren't needy here with how they've recruited, but a Christian Gonzalez/Khyree Jackson wouldn't be turned away.
S - Similar to CB, the bodies and recruiting stars are there, but impact players wouldn't be turned away.
TE - The depth is there for 2024, but I could see them snatching up a TE if there's a good one available.

At most? 1 QB, 2 OL, 1 DL, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S (8 transfers)

I was selfishly hoping that Fisch might leave Arizona, perhaps increasing the odds of Tetairoa McMillan transferring. He would be the perfect #1 receiver to replace Franklin.

Tez Johnson could be a #1, I suppose. Him, along with Holden and Bryant make up your first line. They're going to have to play or cut bait with guys like Hutson, Kasper, Lowe and even young guys Dickey and Cozart.
