Oregon NET ranking is now 59. We’ve been in the 60s for a while so slowly climbing. Must win game obviously. Cal has been playing better lately. They are 5-1 at home in their last 6 home games.

That win at Pullman is looking a lot better now with WSU playing so well.UOducksTK1 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 9:54 am Oregon NET ranking is now 59. NET rankings sure don't like Oregon. Colorado (8-7 Pac 12) is at 41 and Utah (7-8 Pac 12) is 46.

Colorado being as high as they are doesn't make sense to me. But Utah being 4-6 against Tier 1 (Compared to our 2-5) makes sense why they're a bit higher than us.
Also our non-conference wins against Georgia and Michigan, which seemed like solid wins at the time, aren't really helping us. But GreenYellow is right, that Wazzu win is helping us a lot right now. Root for Wazzu and Washington to win tomorrow too.

Ducks been playing a decent game, especially defensively.
But feels like Cal is starting to pull away.

This team is really struggling at being consistent.

Just seems like they ran out of gas. I think the necessitated short rotations catch up to them, especially during the weekend games. Evans going down in the second half didn’t help matters. Team is truly snake bitten. Down to 7 scholly players, and one of those is Diawara, who may be the worst scholarship player they’ve ever had. If Evans is out for an extended period, they could very well peter out down the stretch.

Yeah Diawara is such a liability. It’s hard to watch.

I feel for him, as he was clearly just brought in to be used sparingly, only in emergencies. They happened to have an extra scholly, so he got one. However, he completely destroys any momentum the second he comes in. It’s led to Dante playing way more minutes than he ever has. Altman basically brings Diawara in 30 seconds before media timeouts in the hopes of just squeezing a minute or two of rest for Dante.

We're cursed...if healthy, this team could have been elite on a level with Arizona. It's a shame that injuries ruined the team to the point where we will miss the tournament.

Really sucks seeing this season ruined by injuries once again. The game tonight turned once Evans rolled his ankle and they had to go small the rest of the way. Hopefully he can go against OSU because I'm not sure they can beat the Beavs with only 7 scholarship players.

Well ... John Wooden used to go with strict 6-man rotations even though he had a ridiculously talented bench. Those teams pressed and played fast break ball, too. He thought it was silly to suggest that 20 year olds could not play 40 minutes. Don't know if that would apply to today's teenage college teams.

Agree with this, and young players being able to play 40 mins, but the offense wasn’t as coddled as it is today. You could play defense tough, and actually touch the offensive player. I’d love to see/know how many players were DQ’d for fouling out vs. what it is today. No way in hell a team could play a 6-man rotation today based on how the refs call D.73duck wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 8:39 am Well ...
