It was a great movie. Actor choice was spot on.

They've outdone themselves in turning one of their most obscure comics into a movie anyone could like. By the end of the film, you'll end up having some feelings for among other things, a talking raccoon and a walking tree.
I'm pisssed that I have not seen it yet, I'm hoping I can this weekend

Big Hero 6 = 8.5/10 I like animated films, and this had a pixar-esque feel to it. Fun and funny.

I really want to see Interstellar.

into the woods - pretty good, i'm not much of a musical guy but i like to branch out from time to time.

maleficent - also pretty good, very cool new take on the story.

I have to say I was a little disappointed by "Into The Woods", but only because I am aware of the original Broadway version. The first half of the movie was good, but a lot was cut out from the stage version. I suspect it was to make it more watchable by younger audiences. I doubt the stage version could get a PG-13 rating. 8/10

Maleficent was rally well done. Gives a completely different spin to the story. 9/10

I think they cut it back for time too, heard a few of people say they thought it was too long. I didn't think so at all and most of the talk was coming from a damn grandma that wouldn't shut the hell up for two seconds during the movie.

Seemed the Kids liked it more than the adults from conversations I heard in the bathroom lines. ofcourse this was the male bathroom line so I can see how the movie would not of been a lot of those guys cup of tea.

I haven't seen Into The Woods yet, but I actually didn't like what they did with Maleficent. When it comes to Disney, don't fix it, or change it too much. Almost all their flicks were wonderfully made and should remain pristine. However, the idea to depict Maleficent as anything but a villain undermines how awesome of a villain she was in Sleeping Beauty. Personally, I've disliked almost all these Disney remakes, sequels, or background stories. Just another excuse to make money, by riding great old movies and bringing them down.

I've always liked story rewrites to show it from the villain's perspective. Guess it goes back to reading Beowulf and then the story written in Grendel's perspective. Use to love those.

Birdman. If you like dark comedies, that is. 10/10.

I also enjoyed American Sniper as well. Very powerful movie. However, it is not a documentary.
