Matthew from Corvegas, Ore., writes: Ted,Am I the ONLY one that realizes the Ducks are not a top 5 (or 10, even) team? I mean, they don't have a QB or a RB. Barner won't be healthy the whole season, that DaT likes to fumble.
Ted Miller: Yep. You are the only one.

From SI article featuring De'Anthony Thomas.
“You may be fast,” says Oregon right guard Nick Cody,“but this is where you come to get faster.”
“He’s the most selfless kid I’ve ever been around,” says Oregon coach Chip Kelly. “He never asks for more touches. He’s more pissed when we take him out as a gunner."

Re: Quotable Quotes
From this article: http://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/index.s ... _barn.html
P.S. Campbell is the man...
Campbell didn't like what he had been seeing from his senior running back against Washington State on Saturday, so early in the second half Campbell pulled Barner aside and told him to be more aggressive.
What Barner heard, in essence, was: stop being soft. And he didn't like that.
"He made me mad," Barner said this week.
The perceived insult also made him run harder.
After rushing 10 times for 57 yards and one touchdown (and one receiving touchdown) in the first half, Barner rushed 10 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the second half. That included an 80-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter that iced Oregon's 51-26 victory over WSU.
"I don't do it often; I don't think it works if you do it often," Campbell said of challenging his running backs. "It was a situation where I didn't think he was giving it all that could. I don't think he was slacking or anything, but he needed to step it up and do a little bit extra. So I decided to stay something to him. ...
"Obviously, it helped."
