Just brilliant writing by Ted Miller.briarduck wrote:Great quote fro ESPN...
"-- He Who Shall Not Be Named can now be named. Jeremiah Masoli? Neh. The "oh, what might have been!" is gone. Oregon doesn't need him. Sure, the Ducks offense ran at ludicrous speed with him last year. But their 2010 spread-option offense is running at double-secret ludicrous speed. "

Re: Quotable Quotes
I thought Oregon would suffer as a result of Jeremiah Masoli’s departure. Plainly put, I was loud wrong on that score… as loud as Autzen Stadium was on yet another perfect night for the West Coast’s best program, hands down.

Re: Quotable Quotes
The key, now, is for the voters to remember that the 2010 Rose Bowl didn’t matter. Oregon is playing better than Ohio State, and it’s playing better than Boise State. This is a top two team right now, and it’s playing well enough to potentially challenge Alabama way, way, way down the road, but first the Ducks have to get through the rest of a tough Pac 10 slate.

Pack your surfboard if you have any hope of beating Oregon this season because when the wave comes, you can either ride it out or get completely swallowed up.

John Gruden on Oregon's practices... (great article BTW)
“I was dizzy walking off the field,” Gruden said. “It’s a philosophy that is the damndest thing I’ve ever seen. I love it and can’t get enough of it.”
Ater the initial spring practice of Kelly’s first year the coaches returned to the locker room and said it was the fastest practice they had ever been involved with.
Kelly's response:"That was the slowest practice I’ve been involved with in the last 10 years".

"We got called for a huddle penalty, and I wanted an explanation from the ref because we don't huddle.''
I said that exact thing watching it on tv. We don't huddle so how can we have 12 men in the huddle?

"Jim, we're just a bunch of fat kids living the dream." -Jeff Kendall on the Jim Rome show back in '07. Swiped this from another thread but that may have been one of the best quotes from an Oregon player. Hell, that may have been the best phone call to Rome ever. Freaking ever. Might as well just put quotation marks around that whole phone call. Too bad it didn't work out the way he (or all of us) wanted though

Re: Quotable Quotes
I still don't understand how they had 12 men in a huddle, considering they were running their no-huddle, hurry-up offense. The refs really blew it there, among the other blown calls in the first half.Duck07 wrote:"We got called for a huddle penalty, and I wanted an explanation from the ref because we don't huddle.''

Coach Lane Kiffin on Stanford's defense in the aftermath of the Cardinal's loss at Oregon:
