Black out (PC: Lights out) vs Stanford

Post by UOducksTK1 »

Black outs aren't my favorite. I personally prefer us to wear all Yellow. However, it is pretty intimidating to see all the fans wearing black during a night game. And it certainly worked out well for us last year.

So try to wear black for the game, thanks!

This is ridiculous. Stanford should be yellow-out and Arizona, when they come, should be the black-out.

Why?

The whole idea is stupid, just be raucous and tell those grannies on the south side to yell a little bit.
I don't know. I think when the whole crowd is in unison, it's more intimidating. Every time I see pictures of Nebraska's sea of red or Penn State's whiteouts, it looks intimidating!

And a blackout in person looks a lot better than it does in TV, just saying. Again, I'd prefer a yellow out, but a black out is what most people are already doing, so a black out it is.

The only problem with a yellow out is when it gets cold, not many people have yellow coats. Even the UO doesn't sell yellow coats. So green out or black is more feasible for a night game.

FTR, a yellow out would look way better

The problem is, even with a black out...they cant get in unison....

They sell a crap ton of yellow sweaters! and god forbid someone by a big yellow tshirt and wear it over their coat! :o

its just excuses because although we have a bunch of die hard fans...we also have a bunch of whiny fans....it won't work unless the U of O tries to initiate something.....

Musberger will think he's in Iowa if half the fans wear black and the other half wear yellow-the dork.

Black is cool, yellow shows up better on tv

Post by soduck »

I Think black is cool, in person, but does not show up well on tv, it is questionable, if it has any effect on the teams. I would prefer yellow since it is now a sunny 5:00 game and will still be light for half game. Yellow shows up best on tv and is also good in person.

Students I believe. Over 6k people on facebook are 'attending' the blackout.

I'm just trying to spread the word, because since a large amount of fans are already committed to this idea, might as well try to get everyone else on board.
