This kid is like a white TJ Ward and sort of reminds me of Chad Cota as well. I love the fact that he is a sure tackler who also hits very hard and eventhough they mentioned that his speed, closing speed and quickness will need a little work, I think that because he seems to have very good instincts it will help to diminish any negative impact his lack of speed and quickness may have on his play. I think he would be a solid pickup, because safeties are very important in our defense and we need guys that "play fast" because they have good instincts and trust that their mind and athletic ability will help them to get the job done.

There is some great talent coming out of Utah, I would love to see Oregon focusing a little more attention here to steal some of these guys away from Utah and BYU.

Getting a couple safeties in the next recruiting class will be a big priority. Chris is the most likely to be a Duck out of the safeties that the Ducks have offered thus far. Sean Parker, who will probably be the top ranked safety in California, is likely headed to Notre Dame. Tevin McDonald has high interest in USC. There isn't really information available I have seen that shows where John Timo is leaning, but the Ducks and Hawaii were the first to offer him so hopefully that helps with recruiting him.

Yeah we def. need one safety for sure next year. Badger's uncle or close friend posts on DSA sometimes. He's mentioned how badly Badger wants to be a duck. REAL BAD. After his visit to spring practices or junior days I expect a commitment from him is likely. Florida State just offered him which is likely what prompted our offer.

Yeah, Oregon needs at least 1 good safety next season... USC took what, 4 of the top 10 this year? How the heck did that happen?
