The fact that it's taking this long for Gaines has me concerned, especially since Tunei is already in.

There is always reason for concern when you don't officially have a LOI from a player. However, I don't see how Tuinei already being in would make a person any more or less concerned about the likelihood of Gaines making it in. They are completely different issues that are being dealt with, thus different timelines. It was reported a long time ago that this situation involving Gaines would take weeks to resolve, so this is not some sort of unexpected delay.

MB said one of the 2 player's cases would likely take "weeks". That was obviously referring to Gaines. Believe me, once anything concrete is out there re Gaines it will hit these forums like a lightning bolt. If you're a regular reader then just wait it out as there will be no way to miss the news when it hits.

things are dead silent here, but the last I heard he was very much committed to Oregon, and just waiting for this issue to be resolved, which was expected to take weeks to do.

Great news. This class has turned out pretty darn good. Add Bryce Brown, and we got a top 20-15 class.
