Oregon's problem hasn't been starting pitching; it's been poor offense and bad bullpen work. Looks like Anderson finally got some support but they really need to capitalize on early game opportunities. To have the bases loaded loaded multiple times and not get hits to have more run support is probably causing Horton some headaches right now.

well they have scored 4 runs in the 8th but long beach gave them the runs with 2 errors

No shame on not cashing in on opportunities today, as I alluded to previously in this thread LBS's pitcher is one of the best in the nation. You get what you can get off him.

Lefties tend to have an easier time picking people off since they are looking directly at 1B in their setup. I had a friend in HS, who was a LHP, pick off about 15 players in one season since he had such a good move towards 1B.

This. Some lefties when I was playing ball had the most effective pickoffs. It was so difficult to read whether they were going to home plate or not because they'd pause with their leg up for like a second.
