You a Vol? We don't know what to think. The last thing we actually heard FROM BB said we're his leader, so that's what I'm hoping for. But I don't think any of us are pretending we know for sure what he's gonna do.

Well I know that the mods on the Oregon Rivals site seem to know more than they are saying and some of the Duck posters seem too confident. (for my liking at least :P ) But there are a lot of people calling him to UT.

And yeah, I'm a Vol. :D

Welcome Sab. Have no fear, we are not a hostile group here. Considering the Ducks play the Vols in the '10 season, might be nice to get an outside SEC view of how our program is looked at and some mild trash talking leading up to that game would be fun aslong as its civil and based somewhat in reality. lol

At this point, unless your name is Bryce Brown, I dont think anyone can say for sure what he is going to do tomorrow. That said, in my opinion, if he goes to UT, it will be a serious waste of his talent since Kiffin has a long road to go to be able to get a back like Brown the numbers hes going to want come draft time. Just my opinion though.

Our O-line is weak but we are much more talented than our record last year indicated. Look at our recruiting classes the last 4 years versus yours. Not saying we are better, but we are easily as tallented. There were A LOT of factors in last years pitiful record.

I agree, there are alot of factors in why the Vols record was way below par last year. Fulmer feeling the heat, bad coaching decisions, etc. All that aside though, UT is going through a massive revamp on both sides of the ball and that is something that only time can fix. UT has the talent, the leadership piece is what is most at question right now. UT could be productive again in about 2.5 to 3 years but it wont be an immediate change. The strongest teams in the SEC are still sitting on par for the course where as UT has to reestablish dominance(not an easy thing to do in any confrence). Any major recruit has to be thinking about that when deciding on where to go. Do I want to be part of a rebuild or do I want to shine now. Either way its a tough choice. Guess we all find out tomorrow. Personally I hope BB comes to Eugene if only because 2 years in a row being in the running for the #1 overall recruit and being shut out, sucks! Either way Im fine with it but come '10, if BB goes to UT, I seriously hope the Ducks smack the crap out of the Vols just so BB has to sit down afterward and say, wtf was I thinking.

That's an excellent point. I may come around and talk about the game some.

I asked this same question to the OK State people before the Holiday Bowl, but what is your guys' view on Oregon and the Pac-10 as a whole? Like do you think of us as the team with ugly uniforms? Or that the Pac-10 is USC and the nine dwarves or whatever? It was interesting hearing a Big 12 perspective, so an SEC one would be cool too

If Brown was visiting Oregon the weekend before signing with someone than I'm sure Oregon fans would like their chances just like many Vols fans do. It might mean nothing though. Until he chooses tommorow, everything is speculation as far as I'm concerned.

The thing is though, why would he visit UT if he had already decided to go there? It would be one thing if he was taking his parents with him to sell them to UT, but to go by yourself? If he had already decided for UT, wouldn't he want to visit his second-place school just to make sure he's making the right choice?

I think he visited UT just to do what he said, to check out their offense. I don't think it was an indication he decided for them.

And the fact that he asked C Harper to come down to Wichita signals to me that Harper is somehow involved, whether it be to transfer to K State or welcome him to Oregon

And yeah, there may have been a tiiiiny bit of speculation involved in this post

Exactly what I've been thinking/wondering myself.

Based on what? Why is Chris Harper going to be there then? A lot of people have it down to Oregon and KState.
