Too bad they didn't throw Pat Summit at Brown instead.
Didn't Oku, the other running back commit supposedly get a young girl pregnant?

Tay Dub, my friend, that was fantastic!
If we still had karma, I'd totally give you a +. Maybe even +69 (if you're under the age of 13 forget that last thing)

Re: Bryce Brown In Knoxville
My thought: has Bryce Brown talked of any of the position coaches from any of the schools in his various interviews? Sure, UT has a well-known RB coach, and apparently an intense S&C coach, but coaches Campbell and Radcliffe are not bad, and the players like them! Everyone talks about Coach Rad. And Remember, JSnoop mentioned that Gary Campbell (and his strong religious beliefs) helped to guide Snoop to pick Oregon... We won't know until we hear it from Bryce himself.MacDuck wrote:Jeremy Crabtree posted a tidbit on Rivals main board from his Brown family interview tonight. He said they told him that the main factor in BB's decision was his relationship with the RB coach & the strength & conditioning program. This could be any school from among LSU, UT & Oregon as all 3 have highly thought of RB coaches (esp LSU & UT) and facilities for the latter are great at all 3 as well. Don't see KSU in the mix from this statement.
The info re Harper being there, has anyone confirmed he'll actually be at the news conference site or just back home in KS to visit family?
Also, I know it can happen, but is it likely that Brown made a really strong relationship with UT's RB coach in one month, as opposed to speaking with Oregon's staff since the middle of last year or Miami's for a long time?
I'm still not convinced he's a UT lock, at all. But maybe it's wishful thinking.
P.S. Oh yah, and he'll be able to play Spring Ball if he chooses the Ducks!

I think CK's prediction that Oregon's O will be better next year is without Brown in the picture... After the Boyd fiasco, you have to think there is at least some question in the Oregon staff's minds, even if BB had given them a silent commit.
With Brown, the potential goes through the roof. If Jeremiah Masoli continues to stay healthy and improve his passing game, it may well be there anyway.
Season prediction... 50 PPG, with or without Bryce Brown.
Yup, you heard it here first!

I'm also afraid he won't be choosing Oregon tomorrow. Like you say, this season will be all LGB, then the next season will be James in the feature role and Grant in a Harvin type role. Which means a bigger back is needed in the 2010 class. If Brown doesn't choose Oregon, then that increases the chance of landing another solid 2010 RB like a Malcolm Jones. If Brown doesn't choose Oregon, Chris Harper may get a serious look during spring at RB. Right now his role is not clearly defined, and with Brown out of the picture Harper could get a lot of carries once LGB leaves in 2010. Hope is not lost for this season or next whether or not Brown signs with Oregon tomorrow.
Still, I would hate if it he chose UT, seeing as they came so damn late to the party. Oh yeah, their coach is also Lane "You'll be pumping gas for the rest of your life if you go to USC" Kiffin. At least Oregon has been a serious contender since November, UT has only really been since around NSD IMO. Plus, it will sting knowing UT is on the schedule for 2010 and 2011, his sophomore and junior seasons.
If he chooses Oregon, great, but really, how many of us will care in a few weeks if he doesn't, we will have to move on and focus on the players who actually want to play for Oregon during a Rose Bowl 2009 season.
