ducks had the bases loaded with no outs in the 8th and couldn't score. i disagree vehemently with horton for letting kevin shephard hit in the inning; what has shephard started, one game all year? you put in ryan hambright or pardini or a hitter who has a little experience in a big spot. not a little-used transfer who has five at bat's all year.

I also disagree with the decision in the 3rd when Altobelli was on with a leadoff triple. He had the next batter bunt, leaving Altobelli still on 3rd with 1 out. The next batter struck out and we were screwed. If we lose this game it will be because of poor execution. We have 10 hits and only 1 run. We've been getting to Appel all game long and have only 1 run to show for it. Sigh.

Ducks finally break through in the 10th. Currently they're up 4-1 on a hit, a walk, some Stanford errors and a wild pitch.

Wow! Looks like Sherfy is blowing this big time. 2 walks and a HBP has loaded the bases for Stanford in the bottom of the 10th. Yikes!
