Money is better spent shoring the lines than investing in high profile picks who are unproven and demand big money. The odds are fairly poor in choosing a QB as a first rounder; how many first rounders are out there leading their teams (successfully)?

I think I heard an analyst on the Herd say that it was about 30% of all 1st round QB's who weren't perceived as busts.

I'm pretty sure the Kiper said something about 60% of first round QB's are busts. So according to him about 40% are not busts. So you may start to see a consensus around that 30% - 40% range. Not a great number unless you play baseball.

Will the Lions ever learn? A QB can't lead a team to victory if he is always getting sacked.
They say that football is won or lost in the trenches, but the Lions management seems to not comprehend this truth. Well, they also say that, "those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it". I guess we'll continue to see the Lions lose a lot of games. Could the NFL please stop showing their games on Thanksgiving?
