Re: Tailgating for Football games
I know its been discussed before, but Im not sure if its ever come to fruition... When it comes to tailgating most people are pretty set in their ways
and it might be hard to pull off! But if it gets set up I'd be down for sure...

Even though have had season tickets for going on 13 years have not done any tailgating. Mostly cause have not known anyone that has invited us to their party. I think it would be a lot of fun and perhaps be only ones not drinking but as long as it was fun would be sure to swing by for few and enjoy things if was to happen.

Even though I can only come to one game, UO vs USC on Halloween, it would be great fun to meet up with people on this site! How do we get this started?

First, someone pick a spot!
a. Has to be close to Autzen
b. Has to be easy to find
Second, lay out a start time and who is bringing what.
a. someone has to bring a bbq or 3
b. someone has to spell out what he or she is cooking so others can bring complimentary dishes
c. kegs or ice chests of beer the size of a VW
Third, party like a rockstar!
Thats how we get this started. Since Mops and AJ live down there, they can scout for a location. Someone should step up and help them secure said spot. That would be a start. We have all summer to work on large reciept cooking on a grill and we can rotate through main dishes as the season goes. Ribs, Beer Butt Chicken, Spiced Jerked Chicken, Kabobs, etc. Or pick a food theme for each game and have it posted by July 1 so everyone has time to prep and plan. Also, get a rolling idea of how many people to expect to the site. I highly doubt all of the board members will attend, but if its going to be 20+ people every game, those cooking should know that in advance.

Re: Tailgating for Football games
The only problem is most of us already have tailgaters of our own. Our family
has an RV spot in the front row at the Masonic temple and we have anywhere
from 15 to 40 people per game. Anyone that wants to stop by and say hi just
just look for the desert fox toyhauler. We go down Fridays and stay until Sunday.
