Ducks success

Post by thomas time »

A #2 ranking in football
A run to the “Sweet 16” for men’s hoops
A women’s cross country national championship
A trip to the College World Series for the softball team
A top-4 finish for men’s golf
A 2nd place finish for women’s volleyball
A 3rd consecutive national title in acrobatics and tumbling
The baseball team was a game away from last year’s College World Series and is making a strong push this season
Track and field swept the Pac-12 Championships for the 5th straight year
The women won their 4th straight indoor national championship
This season’s women’s golf team is headed to nationals for the second time since 2010.

Not bad for a year’s work.

Thanks for all the info. Some of us at my job were talking about how the last few years been a good time to be a duck. I do not follow the other teams as much as I do the football team. I did try to watch the basketball games in the tournament but work kind of prohibited that. Across the board been a lot of success in our athletics. Now if we can just get the women basketball team to catch up to the rest of the teams. Been a bad couple of years for them.

Nice, LSU is 45-7 and 3rd in the USA Today Poll. Maybe we will meet in Omaha.

By the way, LSU has an insane stadium for college baseball. It's pretty cool that your guys average over 10 K per game.

We really are fortunate to have it. Alex Box is nicer than some minor league stadiums I’ve been in. The funny thing is baseball, especially college baseball, was not even relevant before the 90’s. Skip Bertman really made that program what it is.

Here is some pics of the stadium,

We are proud of our park too (Phil did us right!), but I have to tip my cap to LSU for an "above and beyond" facility.

What is capacity at PK Park? And was it designed to be able to expand it if necessary?
