Unless if Rice threatens with a comeback, will Sherfie most likely not close out this game?

i would hope not. he'll likely be asked to pitch several innings tomorrow.

That's what I figured. A fresh Sherfie will be big tomorrow. Who will start tomorrow if Oregon holds on to this lead?

15 hits so far this game, couldn't we have substituted a few of these hits for yesterday's game? What did Oregon have, 1 hit all game last night?

Looks like even Oregon's backups are providing tonight. Gotta hope they can continue this tomorrow.

I think 2 hits each in the first two games, nice to see the offense come out today. Nice job pitching by gold, hopefully bats get 3-5 runs tomorrow

Just don't start Wiper tomorrow! Oregon has all the momentum going into the next game.

really hard to say. if he's healthy, jones, i would think. but i don't think he's pitched all weekend, so i'm not sure.

if jones isn't available, i think horton will go with crum. if he's able to go 5, awesome. if not, you'll probably see wiper, tessar, spencer, maybe even reed again. get it to the 6th and it's cleavinger/sherfy time.

some perspective:

#1 north carolina lost today, meaning they've been forced into a do-or-die game tomorrow.

#2 vanderbilt was 2-hit at home today (sound familiar?) and will be forced to win a do-or-die game tomorrow.

virginia tech already lost their regional.

stuff happens. we're not the only one.

Definitely, and Rice is a pretty quality opponent. Stephens pitched a masterpiece. Can't complain too much.

Oregon has a chance now to put it away and win, so let's do just that. Go Ducks!
