Heineman

Post by uosportsguy01 »

Absolutely killing it this summer in the Cape Cod League. See Ducks website for details.

Wood bat, facing a lot of the top college pitchers on a daily basis and he flat out had a monster of a first half. If anyone doesn't think the air and dimensions at PK doesn't effect hitters stats, they're fooling themselves.

I think our offense will be just fine next year.

He had a pretty awesome stretch for us last year, so I think he'll be one of the leading bats for us. Will need him now that Brett has left.

Are the "air and dimensions at PK" going to be different next season? :?

in addition to heineman, kevin minjares is killing it this summer. playing in the california collegiate league, he hit .382 w/ a sparkling .495 OBP. if aaron payne does quit playing, minjares might just be a suitable stopgap.

nick catalano isn't hitting for average but he has shown decent power.

What's up with Aaron Payne?

I had heard talk Payne wasn't coming back to school, however apparently he is and is now back on campus.
