Thanks for the recap on game 3. Krook did look good.oregontrack wrote:hell of a gritty performance in the 9th. down 5-3, hoffman got on with a single, and aj balta -- the freshman who helped save our bacon yesterday in the 7th, also in a pinch-hit situation -- ripped a double, scoring hoffman. jb bryant (jc transfer, also with a big pinch hit yesterday) then drove in balta with a single to knot things up at 5-5. reed got through the bottom of the 9th, then oregon loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the 10th. hawaii got the next two guys out and it looked like we might have blown the opportunity, but baumgartner scored on an error by the hawaii shortstop. reed then took care of the rainbows in the 10th for the win.
both balta and bryant have been money in the clutch, might be time to give them a start tomorrow.
heineman went 0/5, he is now 0/14 to start 2014. a horrifying start.
krook looked good (7 IP, 0 ER) except he had, like, seven wild pitches. and that's not an exaggeration. he had literally seven wild pitches. he's got to reign that in. he punched out 8, walked 2. love that. he was at 100 pitches after and probably could have kept going, but the 8th is cleavinger time. ironically, it went horribly wrong tonight.
Also looks like Kruger is struggling a little eraly offensively. Graham went 2 for 4 on Saturday.
