Future OOC schedules
Hey duck fans,
I am curious if anyone knows how set the next few years of OOC opponents are? I find myself taking pride in our schedule this year (talking smack to some other schools fans) and am stoked to see some good football. Do we really have to play New Mexico and PSU next year or can we find something a little more challenging? Of course I am psyched we are playing Tennessee and plan to watch that in person. Thanks for any info.
Getting FREAKIN' STOKED.
I still need BSU tickets.
I hope Masoli can stay healthy. ( nice video I found by joba)

Terrible scheduling for the next 5 years..One quality team each year and patsies the other games...Damn, we are starting to look like Ohio State and the rest of the scheduling slackers...Disgusting....

Re: Future OOC schedules
Since we're from a BCS league, that's actually advantageous. You don't really get that much credit for a tough OOC schedule (see Ohio State, the entire SEC, etc.)ducksrock wrote:Terrible scheduling for the next 5 years..One quality team each year and patsies the other games...Damn, we are starting to look like Ohio State and the rest of the scheduling slackers...Disgusting....

Re: Future OOC schedules
Oregon tradtionally the last 15 years or so has gone by the idea of one tough out of conference game one mediocre and one patsy. This year is one of the few that does not fit into that as we have Utah and Boise State both tough games.. and Purdue.. being the mediocre team. Last year we played Purdue.. mediocre...Utah state.. patsy... and Boise State. tough. It has been that way for awhile.

Re: Future OOC schedules
The bye weeks in out years aren't set in stone at this point. I think it was a couple years ago that we made several changes in the schedule with other teams to relocate games and bye weeks.
On top of that, every year there are teams that decide to not honor their ooc commitments and schedule a patsy in their place. So anything can happen at this point with the schedules.

Re: Future OOC schedules
Oregon is always going to play Portland State every few years just as bigger schools in every state play the smaller schools in their state as an opportunity to the smaller school (mostly financial). As long as Oregon plays at least one big BCS school (Tennessee, Georgia, etc.) I will be happy. Depending on how this year goes with Utah and Boise State it might not be a good idea to continue playing those schools (there is a reason the big programs don't schedule those teams). Oregon has lost the last three times they have played Boise State, BYU and Utah.

I unfortunately could see 3-4 losses next year. Very tough @ Tennessee, Cal, Usc, Arizona St, Barkrat stadium.
