Need some advice on the eaiset way to make an online bet

Fellow Ducks,

Have never done so, but want to put a few bucks down on the BSU game, given we are an undog by 5.5. I know I certainly could be wrong but this just sounds like easy money to me and I am going with my gut on this one. Anyway, this will likely be the one and only time I do this, so please keep that in mind with your recomendations for me. Appreciated in advance. Oh, and links would be great.

sportsbook.com is good. They also have Oregon 100-1 odd to win the NC. $5 will get you 500. Pretty good considering some others have only 30-1 odds.

You might want to double check to see if you can get your money out. Online gambling in Oregon is illegal, so you want to get your money out from an online site based in the U.S., they won't give it to you. They will ask you to send your photo ID and when it shows you're from Oregon, you lose.

I did this same exact thing on sportsbook.com back in '06. It seemed so easy. I bet that the Ducks would cover the spread at Fresno (3.5) and they did... on a fake FG to go up by seven instead of winning by 3. Anyway, I bet $40 and won $40, when I went to get my money they said it was illegal to gamble in Oregon and I never got anything. They don't ask you upfront where you're from because it's your responsibility to know if it's legal or not, apparently.

That game was great though. The game was tied and the Ducks were lining up for a FG attempt which if they won by 3, they wouldn't cover. I thought I was done for. Then... they fake the FG and Leaf starts running towards the endzone and then pitches it to the kicker who dives in! I thought I won some money.... turns out I didn't.

Good luck on betting. I haven't tried online betting since.

Spinseeker, I see you live in Springfield.. you seriously might want to consider having some one else claim your winnings from a state that it is legal to gamble online. I believe it is in Washington. However, I think you have already given them your personal information when you signed up. I hope it works out for you. Try to get your money somehow now before you put more money in.

Hmmmmm. I wonder if Idaho is legal? Lots of family there - which has made this a long year waiting for Sept 3 by the way.

Just had an online chat with them and they said that is not an issue. I kept the chat for my records and I am in for a whole 50 bucks on the game and 5 bucks on the NC bet. Big spender eh?

Well that's good news. My episode did happen 3 years ago, so maybe it was through a different site. I am just warning people to be cautious as to where they put their money. I did get screwed over and I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone else. If you've had success then I'm sure others will as well.

Same here. In 2007 I received a letter from Sportsbook.com offering me a free $20 bonus to check out their poker room. I played at their website a bit since it was free money (not a big gambler normally) and built it up to $275. I cashed out without any problems by requesting a check and it came shortly thereafter. Seemed like a pretty reputable site based on my experience.

Try betting Oregon to win, before they are picked to do so. It should pay a little better than taking the spread, as long as the Ducks are still listed as the underdog.
