What's the point of shaking hands if their heart isn't in it?

On the surface it seems like a good idea, but in reality these guys aren't interested in any pregame show of goodwill.

Let's just send em' a postcard - after we kick their butts!

Ya this is a terrible idea, this ain't Baseball or BBall! Its going to turn out tom be more like a boxing match and eventually a team (hopefully not ours) will start throwing punches...this is a bad idea!

they mentioned this on college football live today and agreed it was a poor idea. im all for good sportsmanship but before the game is absolutely stupid. this will just lead to more pregame fights and altercations just like we've seen in the past because, u cant stop 200 fired up guys on muscle milk once one guy starts running his mouth. terrible idea hopefully we dont see another miami episode with a guy swinging is helmet. line them up on he 50 after the game high school style and do it right let the captains shake hands before.

This could be a new trick play in Boises playbook - try & get a few players thrown out of the game before kick-off.

Why try being friendly with a guy that you plan on handing his own head to?

I agree is a bad idea especially with rivalries and given the sour feelings oregon has towards Boise State. Let the captains shake hands at the coin tosss and the players after the game. I want more sportsmanship out of our athletes in all sports but all things considered this just does not sound like a good thing.
