I wouldn't be surprised if Blount was called the "n" word it is Idaho we're talking about...

IIRC, they had to place extra security at Ian Johnson's wedding to the BSU cheerleader because he was getting death threats (which is f'ed up and wrong) for him being black and marrying a white woman. If the "n" word was indeed used, it also doesn't make BSU fans look any better. I've never liked people using racial epithets since it doesn't enhance a situation and just shows how far we still have to go to make people get over race.

LGB needs to be off. Plain and simple. Football is a game of emotions, but you need to keep those in check big time. How many times is this going to be played on SportCenter, PTI, Rome is burning? All negative publicity... and for people on the East coast, thats probably the only thing they see that has to deal with Oregon football. Recruits see this, parents see this, voters see this... Do we want the same image as a Dennis Erickson team? A Thug U of miami in the west? What do you guys think Petey and The weseal are going to tell recruits parents about chip and that team up north that is outta control? Does LGB make Oregon a better team Athletically, yes. Dude there is so much wrong with this I don't even know where to start. At this point, the only thing more embarassing to me as a Duck alumnus than LGB's right cross, is that rcook exists and is a duck fan. You are being so very undude it's not even funny. For one, drop all the immature cussing and vulgar, insulting name calling. All the political correct BS doesn't change the fact that Hoyt came over and taunted Blount. Take your win, go celebrate with your team. Don't be an a-hole and go rub it in. I will say it again. He deserved what he got. The thing that puts me to the point where I think Blount needs to go is after the punch. Pushing/punching your own teamate in the face when he is trying to hold you back for one. I could understand him pushing but that was basically a punch to his own team mate. He has also done this before. Also then attempting to go into the stands through Frost and through the cops. This is what gets him booted in my opinion.

I will say though, if you're going to be an A-hole, look good doing it. He has a hell of a straight right.

Man, I agree with you. I'm having a real hard time getting past the punching of team mates, and trying to go all Ron Ron in the stands. I understand the "rehabilitation" aspect of the University's responsibilities, but I'm really struggling to get past that.

Blount succeeded last season because of JJ. Blount had -4 yards rushing after talking smack about Boise, he is not a star so I would like to see him off the team so he doesn't negatively affect the other players. What he did was a mistake yes, but what he did gives the Oregon program a black eye and will tarnish and negatively affect the view of the team in the eyes of fans, recruits, the media, etc. Plus he has in all likelihood ruined his future in the NFL. Not a good thing.
