I say Masoli needs to find some confidence in throwing over the middle. During the BSU game, the longest passes were ones completed over the middle to WRs or TEs doing crossing patterns or just going up the seams. Masoli just seemed to be looking at the sidelines for his completions.

He should be better prepared to do so since Kelly broke out those samurai fans to simulate tall defenders.

Hurry up and be Saturday already. I'm tired of all of the bickering and arguing on here.

I had a dream that Oregon lost 21-16...then again Ed Dickson returned a kickoff for a touchdown so i don't know how legitimate that dream was.

I am gonna play devil's advocate on this thread. This is my perception of what we will see Purdue do against us. Maybe it is legit.. maybe not but this would be what I would do if I was Purdue.. I would put 8 or 9 in the box and focus on stopping the run and make Masoli beat us with the pass. I would blitz often forcing the offensive line to protect. My gut feeling is this is surely what Purdue will do given how bad the line looked last week and the consequent struggles Masoli had not to mention the running game.

I support Masoli fully.. but this going to be a challenge to him to respond and make the passes to get the 8 or 9 out of the box and drop back in coverage.

you're probably right, and hopefully Masoli watched enough game film to be ready and to notice Ed Dickson or whoever is open

I heard from a Purdue fan though that they had no pass rush against Toledo, so I would be surprised if they put much pressure on our O-Line

BSU had a bunch of new guys on the DL. So, we thought their pass rush wouldn't be a problem either.

True, but I'm talking about actual game experience in which Purdue had no pass rush, as opposed to assumptions made before a game had been played.

We'll see tomorrow.

True. I hope that pans out in our favor. I have a feeling there will be a lot of tension in the air.

We should do what USC did with Barkley last week, it might be new to kelly or greatwood from their playcalling of last week, but its called moving the pocket.... maybe they didnt want to show much early but if u dont get a first down till late in the 3rd qt maybe u could try a few new plays.

Um, Toledo looks pretty good tonight. They are executing about 100x better than we did last week. Purdue blew them out..... I think we could be in for a long night.
