Sorry, I posted this, really it was more tongue in cheek so to speak (or one to many drinks and then posting  ,) and not to slam JM. No, I'm not on the bench JM bandwagon, because we all know how he can look when he is completing a few balls. In all honestly being at the game yesterday, it just seemed that Masoli's timing is off. He was consistently throwing behind his receivers when they had the defender beat by a step or two. If he can get his timing back with WR/TE he will be fine and our O will start to put up the points were all use to.

But so far this season, Masoli has looked pretty awful at finding wide open receivers and throwing catchable balls --- even when the line gives him time. That is on him. He simply needs to step up and play better. If he doesn't, we lose PAC-10 games starting next week.

Other than giving up huge third and long plays (as is our custom it seems), Our defense has played pretty well this season, and especially well against Utah. However, if our Offense doesn't start running on all cylinders, we are going to be toast against Cal. Our D can't be expected to stop Cal all game. Our offense needs to get rolling and Masoli needs to lead the way. When the team and coaches give him an opportunity do well because of the right play call and the right blocking and the right route running, etc, than Masoli needs to step up and make the play. That is his job. And so far this season, he hasn't done it well nearly often enough. He is the offensive leader -- it starts with him.
You realize the defense held Utah to 5 of 18 on third down and 3 for 12 in third and six or more situations, right? There was the third and twenty the D gave up, that's basically it.
