lost game one 9-6 in 10.

the offense came up with the big hits, which is good. irvin had his third consecutive less-than-stellar outing, which is bad.

to his defense, the strike zone was bonkers all night. i kept turning back during the basketball game and the announcers were all over the home plate umpire, openly questioning his moving zone. the washington starter was visibly upset by it.

i very much doubt krook can get the win tonight. looks like another series lost.

I believe that makes them 10-8 on the season?

And we lose the finale 7-4. Mess.
Apart from yesterday, the pitching is gone. Teams are hitting them and hitting hard.
This must be extremely heartbreaking to the players who had a lot of expectations this season (ie Irvin)

it may be heartbreaking for them, but irvin has been part of the problem, so.... // shrug

i thought we might very well win this series, but then peterson was a scratch and they went with the freshman sunday. peterson's been our best guy, a shame he couldn't go.

offense was slightly better this weekend.
