I did it the hard way. But yeah for future reference an excel would be much easier.

I think it's crazy that anyone would vote +3 for an article that someone has put any effort into. Why deter people from writing articles? This particular article I found very handy in the draft. Some articles that followed also referenced this article.

I could see someone doubting what has actually gone into it.

Since all it appears to be is number ratings assigned to players, there isn't the kind of visual confirmation of effort involved that there may be in a long article or an evaluation with more visual depth. Heck, maybe they're thinking as far as he just made up the numbers off the top of his head after glancing at the player. I don't think that's the case, but I would find it understandable if someone thought that couldn't be dismissed.

As for +3's and +5's, there just has to be some sort of standard of quality. And that again comes back to the lack of visual confirmation. Even more so with this being the first time this has been used. Maybe the system's a rushed piece of crap that guesses a prospect about as well as the CPU drafting in the game (which is abysmal). Maybe it is a pure glance & guess. The doubt would be reasonable.

Random long post over.

With that in mind, does the article have to be strictly league related? I once wrote an article about the potential "big 3" of Almond Joy, Mounds, and a nonexistent white chocolate coconut candy for a league I ran. Would definitely consider doing random crap like that again.

Seemed like the draft followed pretty close to the board. I don't think it should matter how long the article took to make. I don't need to know if it took someone hours or minutes.

Was it useful? Did it have an impact? Did it spur conversation? If so, I'm not going to hate on someone for taking time to entertain us lol.

As for random articles, I'm sure they're allowed. I'm not sure you'll get anything for it, but throw a poll up and see what happens.

Pleas post in this thread your choices
