It means he's the Daddy. It's also akin to calling someone "boy." The point is that they are inferior.

Players have already started their 2019 season.

Jared Greenfield had a pick-6 in his first game. Jay Butterfield was 15-for-25 for 311 yards with no INTs in a victory. Trey Benson has gone for over 120 yards in each of his first two games, and has 2 INTs on the defensive side of the ball. Luke Hill had an INT in his season opener. I can't find any stats for Kris Hutson, but he had some big plays in a national showcase game in his opener.

Trey Benson was up for player of the week last week.

Benson went for 200 on just 3 carries! For the season: 65 carries, 1,148 yards, 17 touchdowns and 17.7 yards per carry.

Hard to believe Benson's Mustang team is 1-6 on the season...

You're reading that wrong. The opposing team is the Mustangs. Benson's St Joseph team is 7-0, though they play in a really weak conference.

Dowdell is putting up some crazy numbers in his final season. He's going to look like an absolute steal in Oregon's offense.
