Re: 2020 Oregon Commit List
Just dawned on me that this is the first class that I can remember that has zero Oregonians in it. Patrick Herbert last year, MJ Cunningham/Dawson Jaramillo in '18, Alex Forsyth and Cody Shear in '17, QB1, Winston, and McCormick and Brady Breeze in '16...
Not a lot of options this year. Could've gone with Filkins as a flex RB/WR. Andy Alfieri isn't the prospect his brother was, but could've gone after him. Jalen John? Maybe. Silar Starr has good height. Lastly, Cooper Justice has Herbert's measurables, and might've been a nice 2nd QB in the class instead of Robby Ashford.
Anyway. Just interesting.

I really liked Casey Filkins. He is one that I wish the Ducks had pushed for this this class.

Our RB room is full and we don’t exactly need slot WRs. I do think he’ll be solid at Furd tho.jimmy12 wrote:I really liked Casey Filkins. He is one that I wish the Ducks had pushed for this this class.

Manning got his fifth star. That's 3 of Oregon's top 11 recruits all time in this class. The future is blindingly bright.

I'm a little confused how Manning got bumped to a 5th star on composite.. He had a huge jump on rivals but not enough to put him in the top 60.. On 247 his ranking is unchanged. On ESPN he is unchanged but a high 4 star.. 247 may bump him into 5 star ranking but not sure..

Hes 61 on Rivals, 30 on 247, and 23 on ESPN. Composite ranking of 27. They usually hand out 30-35 five star composite rankings.

Re: 2020 Oregon Commit List
He's also the nation's 3rd best corner. So being a 5 star with that being said doesn't seem too surprising.GoDucks7 wrote:I'm a little confused how Manning got bumped to a 5th star on composite.. We have two of the nation's top 10 corners according to rivals.

Preferred walk-on kicker commits.

This is definitely an area of need. We really need a kicker who can hit from at least 40-45 yards.

Re: 2020 Oregon Commit List
4* DL Jayson Jones is the latest (and likely final) addition to Oregon's 2020 recruiting class, which will likely finish as the #12 recruiting class in 247 Sports' team rankings and #9 in Rivals'.

Rumor is Manning is considering requesting a transfer after Williams left for USC. It’s just something a “recruiting page” on twitter posted, but worth keeping an eye on after that cryptic tweet Manning made.

Wouldn't he have to sit a year? I'm sure he anticipates immediate playing time.HomeSickDuck wrote:Rumor is Manning is considering requesting a transfer after Williams left for USC. It would be really dumb for him to not at least wait to see who the ducks get.

From what I understand, he can apply for a waiver from the NCAA due to position coaching change. But I’m not really sure.maxduck wrote:Wouldn't he have to sit a year?
