I was just watching his HUDL film yesterday, actually.
Good for him. Happy to see Oregon maintain a few local kids on the roster as guys like Breeze and McCormick are set to move on.
As for his talent, I don't develop much of an opinion on freshmen and sophomores. A lot of it is a total crapshoot except for cases where a 14 year old is built like a 30 year old (looking at you, Dylan Moses), because you don't know how much they're going to grow physically or if they'll become more coordinated/athletic as they grow into their body. You can't predict it like basketball. But he played a lot of interior defensive line as a sophomore, and at first glance, looks more like a the middle Winston than La'Mar. We'll see how he develops.

Oregon did not make a big effort to recruit/keep Elijah.
