Was a little worried when he retwitted an Ohio State recruiting analysts post before his announcement today. Great news!

There were comments on TOS that Ohio State and USC did not want him. Some Ohio State guy was claiming that he wanted to commit to them but they decided to go with someone else. Not sure the validity of that. It might be sour grapes.

Ohio State’s class is shaping up to be like Clemson’s last year. It doesn’t surprise me if they did turn down Davies.

Well he is still the #12 corner in the nation, and Auburn, Bama, Texas, Oklahoma, and other big name schools wanted him... even if Ohio State changed their mind.

I'll take it!

Sounds like he plans to skip his senior season of football that starts in January and instead enroll early at Oregon. I wonder if that will be a trend.

If academics are lined up, seriously, why not?

Why not? You only get to be 17 once.

What's the rush? Get through college and start working a year earlier?

Gives you an edge on others. Also the high school experience isn't going to be very special for a senior this year, so even more incentive to get a head start on your career.

I think it's a great idea for Davies.

In normal circumstances I’m with you. But if your high school is all online anyways and there’s no social activities, you may as well focus on i your college career
