1st Round:
In many ways this report will have many echos of last years' report. There have been some solid developments. Another year, another clear 1st overall and more Houston stockpiling talent. Excellent late lottery picks and a surprising upset for the ROY. This year's wingman class is a real highlight as you have three candidates to compete for all league honors. The real class of the posts coming out this year, baring Eaton, doesn't start until deep into the 20s in McNamara.

The Rockets are stacked with young talent, the question is when. Cummings needs to use his excellent Preseason to springboard into more minutes this season after a rather disappointing rookie campaign. He looks to have the skills and has consistently worked on his positioning down low in training.

Smooth shooting wingman. He gets his buckets from the corner where he can really open it up for the rest of his team. 18+ppg rookie campaign bodes well despite a altogether disappointing preseason. This sniper will likely be driving defenses mad from the arc for years to come.

Lever got buried behind Magic so it is very hard to judge where he is. His passing skill and ability to take care of the basketball are not in doubt. He just hasn't had the playing time.

Lambasted by the pundits as being the wrong pick, for the wrong team at the wrong time. This lit a fire under the Buckeye eventually becoming the ROY. He was the right player at the right time in the right place. He has become the centerpiece of the team, dragging it out of doldrums into serous contention. If he can keep up this pace he will be a force for many years.

Declared the steal of the lottery, Thompson Spent a surprising amount of time in the green room before being called up as he was expected to be a top pick. He looks poised to take the next step this year but time will tell if he is that great steal or just a solid F/C rotation option or even the trade chip that take the rockets to the next level

For most teams center court is where its at, but for the Raptors the best seat in the house is baseline near the basket. This is prime real estate for getting a souvenir or three. It's like he missed his calling for the US olympic volleyball squad. I hear Wilt Chamberlin is looking for more recruits to turn into IVA Hall of Famers
