Wonder if anyone will try to use that logic on a bigger deal. Weak team does a lotto protected 90, unprotected 91

then when the protection activates, says "didn't say it was my 91, here I have the Grizzlies '91 just for you!"

Obviously much less at stake here but it is worth considering since you're definitely not the only one to have dealt picks that could potentially be conveyed through protections.

Feel like Lakers should have to give up their 91 1st. If you don't keep track of what you owe out to people you should have to give up something MORE valuable not less. We definitely shouldn't reward people for sneaking through an illegal trade
